The Last Stop
Released 2012
Pre-Production
We decided to make The Last Stop to enter an international film competition established by Ridley Scott and Michael Fasbeneder. We had only six weeks to write the script, organise shooting, film, edit the footage and arrange the score, if we were going to make the entry date in time.
We had a Fundraising event with nibbles, drinks and entertainment. To everyone who donated funds or attended the event we are very grateful for your support. Making a film is such a collaborative exercise, every contribution however seemingly small is important. And of course "contribution" includes your support and encouragement.
Filming Progress
We filmed over four days at Glenbrook Railway Station. We are very grateful for the expertise, involvement and props we received from the train enthusiast. Thank you to our dedicated crew, talented actors and our extras from Ryan Talent.
Post Production
Thank-you to our actors for their ADR and our post production team for whipping the film into shape. It was a tight schedule and made on a shoe string but we did it, great work team.
Festival Screening and Award Nomination
In November Brighde Riddell, our Make-up Artist and Hair Stylist, was nominated for the 2013 Moa Awards.
The Last Stop received entry into the 2013 Trinity Film Festival. The Last Stop was invited and received entry into the 2014 AOFA Film Festival.
Release
The Last Stop was played regularly on Sky TV Rialto Channel throughout the year. Thank you Sky TV for your enthusiasm and support. We have had a lot of positive feedback from viewers, this is always wonderful to receive.
